“Urban Dead”

Created in 2005 by Kevan Davis. Described on it’s title screen as a “low-tech massively-multiplayer online zombie apocalypse game” the game gained a fairly large following early on as players sought to climb the skills ladder available to players (two different trees, unique to either zombies or living survivors).
The game was entertaining as massive battles raged between the living and the living dead and only slightly marred by accusations of Zerging. Both my living and dead characters have fought at the numerous battles at Caiger Mall.
Interest in the game seems to wane when characters max out their skills and soon tire of the tedium of barricading, restocking and refueling generators and seeking revives after being struck down by a psychotic survivor.
All in all if you haven’t played it you should give it a try. If you have played it then you’ve likely stopped reading this some time ago anyway.
